I must reject the update to 4.8.1 as it is the development version and
is both incomplete and does not build properly on FreeBSD. The current
stable version, 4.7.3 will not build properly on V5 systems, but does
build on V4 and can be installed in V5 from the package.

I would like to make the update to the download location. I just
submitted a PR for that issue. I'm still waiting for gnats to report the
PR. I will also look into an irrtoolset-devel port for 4.8 until it is
 complete and stable.

I am also looking at builds under V5. It seems to build on some systems
but I have not succeeded in building it on my systems.
