 I have mono w/o ICU and build with normal CFLAGS.
 
 Mono JIT compiler version 1.0, (C) 2002-2004 Novell, Inc and 
 Contributors. www.go-mono.com
          TLS:           normal
          GC:            Included Boehm (with typed GC)
          SIGSEGV      : normal
          Globalization: none
 
 __FreeBSD_version is 502128 here. Same problem with mcs as described above.
