Not too much of a mystery.  nspr and xptcall require specific knowledge
of a host OS as well as its compiler ABI.  Without that, the build fails
(see bento logs), or the execution fails with core dumps.  It's best to
wait for the amd64 people to add the specific hooks.  Adding
NOT_FOR_ARCHS is not a death sentence.  It just means we need a little
help from our amd64 gurus.
