The nessus port is helpful but requires a heavier interface than hydra as 
standalone.

I guess it remains better to have hydra standalone. I used it this way to 
challenge passwords on routers, ... and it really helps to avoid Nessus.

The question is: will hydra as standalone be maintained now it is nessus 
included? Unfortunately, the author did not reply to me when I asked...
