 Interesting... But from reading it, it seems you are overly cautious.
 The 8.10 fixes a security hole, while the possible disadvantages are
 only in the rendering. Yet the new features make it a very desirable
 upgrade -- the JBIG2 support. I think, we should upgrade (I think I have
 a working version, in fact) -- can you ask for the opinion on ports@ ?
