>Description:

The /usr/ports/mail/qmail-ldap port uses an old version of the
qmail-ldap patch: 20020901 instead of the most recent (at this time)
version 20030501.

The port goes through a lot of effort to build in features such as TLS
and BIG_TODO which have been incorporated directly into the qmail-ldap
patch itself. This makes the port a bit out of sync with the docs,
and also makes it very difficult to apply other patches, such as the
SMTP AUTH patch.

>How-To-Repeat:

not applicable.

>Fix:

Get the most recent patch, at the time of this writing

http://www.nrg4u.com/qmail/qmail-ldap-1.03-20030501.patch.gz

You should be able to remove the need for the qmail-tls port, the
port's patching for BIG_TODO, and perhaps other features.

It would be nice if you could roll-up the SMTP AUTH patch, available at
