>Description:
Installed ddclient-3.6.3 package.
Executing 'ddclient.sh stop' fails to kill any and all running ddclient processes.
The 'killall ddclient' line in the shell script fails to identify the running perl script:
# ps ax | grep ddclient
50277 p2 S 0:01.22 /usr/bin/perl -w /usr/local/sbin/ddclient -daemon 300
# killall ddclient
No matching processes were found
In my first encounter with this issue I had managed to launch 4 copies of ddclient, not realising that first 3 instances hadn't automatically terminated. None were terminated with the shell script or the killall issued at the command line.
>How-To-Repeat:
execute '/usr/local/etc/rc.d/ddclient.sh stop' while ddclient is running.
response is: 'No matching processes were found'
>Fix:
