Did my previous message not come through? In case it didn't, here's the key part again:

The flood of email to perl@ is an unfortunate side effect of the fact that these auto assigner doesn't recognize that it could assign these to me because the "p5- -> perl@" rule takes precedence over the "submitters is committer" rule. This is something I'm trying to work on.

I think the list might be too large and slow the auto assigner down. Also, it would require maintenance. And the ports that I'm submitting PRs for aren't maintained by perl at .

I think fixing the auto assigner is the better solution.
