Requested modification to perl5[8] pkg-install script

May I commit the following change to the perl5[8] pkg-install scripts? 
This will allow package building tinderboxes to work in a jail/chroot
environment regardless of the version of the underlying host system. 
This is based on the variables used on bento.  Thanks.
