netmap on ubuntu 14.04?

Hello together,

has anyone experience about netmap on a Ubuntu 14.04 machine?
Actually we have compiled netmap including the module linux_lin.ko and have successfully loaded it.
But everytime we try to start the bridge, we´re getting the following error:

./bridge built Sep 10 2014 09:37:00
889.491390 main [233] cannot open eth1
Kernel: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic x86_x64

Does anyone have any ideas
