There was an important change in msk(4) and that change requires
"cold boot" to make the change effect.  So did you try to
"cold boot" on 9.0-RC1?
Cold boot means you have to power off your box and unplug power
cord and wait 1-2 minutes then boot your box.
Let me know whether that makes any differences.
