Hi,

While executing conformance test for IPv6 Neighbor Discovery functionality, we saw failures due to non-existing support for IPv6 route extension header in Freebsd V7.2 Code base.

Steps for conformance test are described below -:

Configuration -:

TESTER_A++++++++++IUT+++++++++TESTER_B

1> tester A and B is sending neighbor solicitation to IUT
2> IUT responds with neighbor advertisements.
3> tester B transit a echo request to tester A via IUT..
4> Echo request is having routing extension header.
5> IUT is generating ICMP error due to the presence of routing extension header.

While looking into the file (netinet6/route6.c),we can see that the code has been commented.

Why there is no support for route extension header in freebsd v7.2 ?
>From which release we have the code that support route extension header ?

Thanks and Regards,
