Any miniPCI wireless LAN cards support "wi" in "hostap" mode?

No, "wi" is not necessary.  I did not realize before that "hostap" 
was also supported on the "ath" driver, so I'll try a card with an 
Atheros chip set next.

No, the PRISM GT chipset is not Atheros.
