Problems with SK and EM network cards/drivers on my system

I've seen the same problem on em devices under two situations. The  
first being a bad cable. The second being a switch that was trying to  
use flow control(unsuccessfully). Try locking both the switch and the  
card to 1000BaseTX with full duplex.
