I reverted my patch, applied yours, set the buffer to the size of 455 and made
sure internal, driver and engine parameters are in sync. I do get the same
results as with my (wrong buffer size) patch applied: it works, but I do hear
crackling sounds while ardour is playing (same with muse3). OK, I would call
this a progress :o)
