Current 2020.09.20 can not download videos from Youtube:

% youtube-dl -f best "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMrIy9zm7QY"
[youtube] FMrIy9zm7QY: Downloading webpage
[youtube] FMrIy9zm7QY: Downloading embed webpage
ERROR: Unable to extract JS player URL; please report this issue on
https://yt-dl.org/bug . Make sure you are using the latest version; type 
youtube-dl -U  to update. Be sure to call youtube-dl with the --verbose flag
and include its complete output.

There is newer version available:
https://youtube-dl.org/downloads/latest/youtube-dl-2020.11.01.1.tar.gz
