Sound OK using built-in speakers, but loud "static" with headphones

I "saw" the same yesterday on my notebook. It turned out that the
earphones I used have keys to control a smartphone and an integrated
microphone. Running "mixer mic 0" and "mixer rec 0" muted the static.
