Maybe I'll try a Logitech C310. Seems suitable. Nothing I looked at did real IR illumination for a tolerable price. Now to figure out how to make it do 4:3 (960x720p) instead of 16:9 (1280x720p). It's probably in software somewhere. pwcview's -s option doesn't go that high.
