FBSD7.0-Realease; mplayer, kaffeine, vlc, ... all crashing horribly?

-this "same" PC using fbsd6.x previously worked beautifully when using mplayer, kaffeine,...(installed from ports) to play DVD's

-all I get now is the below errors(when I try to play DVD's) and it hard-hangs my PC

has anyone else noticed this on FreeBSD 7.0-Release ? ..I don't think this is a ports problem this time.?
-in the meantime I will re-install fbsd 6.x-stable again just to make sure its not hardware-related?, but I'm sure it will work like it used to.
