Speaker doesn't automute on HP Pavilion dv6904ca (snd_hda)

Hi:

On a new HP Pavilion dv6904ca laptop,
plugging in the headphone does not automute the speakers.

After enabling verbose boot up, I tried repeatly plugging in
the headphones, but it does not generate
any message on the console (unlike my other laptop).

I've attached the verbose dmesg below, as well as brief info.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
