Not capturing sound

Thank you my friend, that was it.  Check the results.:

[aries at studio01 ~]$ mixer rec mic rec 100
Setting the mixer rec from 0:0 to 0:0.
Setting the mixer rec from 0:0 to 100:100.

Fired up Audacity and boom I'm recording.  This should be in a FAQ
somewhere.

I appreciate your help.
