There are API changes in the sound system (e.g. different syscall
MIBs). So it is unlikely that there will be a straight MFC. And so far
nobody tried to do a partial MFC without the API changes (not time,
...).

Just to make sure: you are running an Athlon64, Opteron or Intel EM64T
system in amd64 mode and not in i386 mode? Did you tried again after a
reboot? Do you have any sound stuff in your kernel config?
