Hi, I am experiencing the same problem as you had back in 2006. A noise is covering all sounds coming out of my headphones (motherboard: asus A8N-VM CSM). On the mailing I read that I should fetch the hdac.c script. I am not really familiar with that. How can I solve my problem? Thanks a lot Sofie
