Recording, microphone is a tricky, tricky 100x business. Besides
Windows (TM) drivers, all other HDA/azalia implementation suffer this
issue as well due to too many permutations. Vendors abusing the fact
that the standrad is pretty much well defined, yet leave so many
holes for specialized purposes. Even on Windows, they still require
you to install the very specific vendor own driver.
