pvr-350 not working - how to debug?

I just loaded 01042007, 07042007 and 09042007. 01* gives a nice clear
picture and sound and outputs:
Apr  9 16:34:31 unf kernel: cxm0: Eeprom NTSC

07* and 09* only give static and output:
Apr  9 16:39:57 unf kernel: cxm0: Eeprom PAL

Might be a clue?
