professional sound studio with freebsd, anyone?

:) I know OSS but i've heard it's way worse than ALSA so if i'll
have to use OSS in freebsd, i'll prefer alsa in linux.

But, latency is not an issue for me, since i use hardware synths
for playback and there is no latency there.  I listen to my
keyboards realtime, while midi is being recorded.  Afterwards i
can edit the midi, and use sounds from the pc, but then there is
no latency :]
