having some major issues with FreeBSD 8.x AMD64 and libgdiplus

checking whether cairo's Microsoft Windows font backend could be 
enabled... no (requires a Win32 platform)
checking whether we are using the GNU C++ compiler... (cached) yes
checking whether c++ accepts -g... (cached) yes
checking dependency style of c++... (cached) gcc3
checking for cairo's PNG backend...
gnome-config: not found
gnome-config: not found
gnome-config: not found
configure: WARNING: Could not find libpng in the pkg-config search path
checking whether cairo's PNG backend could be enabled... no
configure: error: requested PNG backend could not be enabled
configure: error: ./configure failed for cairo

Please report the problem to mono at FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the
"/usr/ports/x11-toolkits/libgdiplus/work/libgdiplus-2.4.2/config.log" 
including
the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good 
idea
to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls
/var/db/pkg`).

Stop in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/libgdiplus.
