that was it, but i have no good news about apm :(

even with device apm in kernel o got nowhere ...

used the devide.hints apm-disable=0 and acpi-disable=1, loader.conf
apm_load="YES" and also rc.conf stuff ...

but when i saw /dev/apm, had something of acpi also (i read it was
necessary) no zzz and apm -Z worked :(

back with acpi for now, but still hoping to use standby on FreeBSD !! :)
