Can the atheros driver be used in FreeBSD 4.9?

Don't know about ath in 4.x, but this is the list of options I usually
have to try in 5.x:

unset acpi_load
set hint.acpi.0.disabled=1
set hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range=1
set hint.apic.0.disabled=1
