wireless connection disrupts

Since I changed the firewall settings to a more restrictive type and
also took away the -nat option of my ppp settings (DSL, pppoe)
the wireless connecttion to my notebook gets disrupted intermittently
and unpredictible. I must even fear that it disrupts now while
I'm typing. 

Any clues what the problem could be?
