I have been running 5.1 release for a while and I was not able to
configure wifi card on it, but I was not concerned about it. Since
recently I got a wireless router for home, that became an issue. I tried
to find info on the web (mighty google) and followed the found
information from there. As the last step I upgraded to 5.1 current in
hope to solve the problem, but no luck. HW IBM t23 Lucent Orinoco Silver

Linksys Network PC card v3 802.11 b

This is what I done so far:
in the 5.1 release I used config file that you posted in May this year
as the starting point. With generic and changed kernel config I could
not get the card to be recognized

here is from the message log

although the cardbus adapter was recognized
 kernel: cbb0: +ADw-TI1420 PCI-CardBus Bridge+AD4- mem 0x50000000-0x50000fff irq
9 at device 0.0 on pci2
 kernel: cardbus0: +ADw-CardBus bus+AD4- on cbb0
 kernel: pccard0: +ADw-16-bit PCCard bus+AD4- on cbb0
 kernel: cbb0: +AFs-MPSAFE+AF0-
 kernel: cbb1: +ADw-TI1420 PCI-CardBus Bridge+AD4- mem 0x51000000-0x51000fff irq
5 at device 0.1 on pci2
 kernel: cardbus1: +ADw-CardBus bus+AD4- on cbb1
 kernel: pccard1: +ADw-16-bit PCCard bus+AD4- on cbb1
 kernel: cbb1: +AFs-MPSAFE+AF0-
kernel: pci2: +ADw-simple comms+AD4- at device 2.0 (no driver attached)

I saw this later in the log

Nov 10 08:08:05 volta kernel: cbb0: Unsupported card type detected Nov
10 08:08:05 volta kernel: cbb1: Unsupported card type detected

where no card was in the slots.

After I tried upgrading to current and same thing happend. Then I tried
with OLDCARD config, but still when I insert the cards, they are not
recognized

When I run the

pccardc dumpcis
0 slots found

If anyone could give me some hints or directions on this problem I would
appreciate it a lot

Also I have a question for the list admin. I am trying to post to the
list, but it is bouncing. The reason I am seeing is that my host is not

Thank you in advance
