I ran into the same problem, but was helped out on this list last week
by another user who suggested setting:

hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range=1

And possibly:

hw.cbb.start_memory=0x30000000

The former was all that was required on my 5150 which is now running
-CURRENT quite happily.  The latter, while it fixed the lock-ups I was
seeing, did not help in getting cards to actually be recognized.
