I've managed to get Linux up and running on my SGI Octane using the Gentoo Live CD. Runs quite nicely and includes several programs I found useful. The CD image is at http://gentoo.mirrors.pair.com/experimental/mips/livecd/x-rc6/ It isn't Free BSD, but at least I can run an MP3 player. :) The Phantom
