talented Vulnerability Research Team.  FreeBSD fanatics preferred!

Role:
    •    Lead team of developers working primarily on internal applications
    •    Reports directly to the Manager, VRT Department of Intelligence
    •    Provides guidance to and mentors the individual members of
the development team
    •    Architects applications for internal use
    •    Responsible for implementing projects and ensures that
development follows a reasonable time line
    •    Gathers requirements for projects and schedules
projects appropriately
    •    Co-ordinates developers on multiple projects and assigns
developer resources appropriately
    •    Develop and implement long-term strategic goals and
short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining internal applications
    •    Plan development projects and determine resource requirements
    •    Co-ordinate with Team Lead (Infrastructure & Systems) to deploy
applications on appropriate systems
    •    Produce reports for the VRT senior management as needed 

 Requirements:
    •    C.S. Degree or similar
    •    5+ years of development experience
    •    Strong programming skills in C and/or Java
    •    Strong scripting skills in Perl, Ruby and/or Python
    •    Strong Linux, BSD skills
    •    Strong and effective communicator, able to understand the
business process
    •    The drive to succeed and win is crucial
 Additional:
    •    Knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, NOSQL, SQL etc.
    •    Experience leading a project or team of developers
    •    Ability to translate requirements from non-technical users into
solid technical requirements
    •    Experience using project tracking tools and source code management
systems (Redmine and Subversion are preferred)
    •    Experience developing on or using FreeBSD preferred, Linux will
suffice
 Work Conditions:
    •    Fast paced, rapidly changing environment
    •    Works closely with researchers, analysts and other weirdos
    •    Moderate to high levels of stress may occur at times
    •    Extremely talented team members and mentors
    •    No special physical requirements, if you can shoot a basketball
you will dominate
    •    Constant internal training, heated discussions, ice cream and
libations
