Subject: Sunnyvale, CA,
USA: Contract through end of 2009 for PM with UNIX sysadmin
background
Message-ID: <20090408212614.GK31409@albert.catwhisker.org>
My manager is looking for someone to work on contract through the end of
this year.
While she said that she wants "a combination" of skills, she (somewhat
grudgingly) admitted that the person would need to be a Project Manager
primarily; would need strong technical skills; would need to work
effectively with IT (our group is "Engineering Infrastructure," so we're
in Engineering, not IT -- and IT has the sysadmins).
We're in Sunnyvale, California (SF Bay area), near Moffet Park;
UNIX-ish environments most in use here are FreeBSD, some flavor of
Linux, and Solaris.
I'm not sure how much remote working would work for this, though it's
generally not uncommon for folks to work from home from time to time.
She wants to fill the req quickly, as she will be out-of-town next week.
Email me & I'll relay, or call my work number at +1 408/936-6405.
If you email, I can get that message to her intact. Calling runs the
risk that I'll misinterpret; on the other hand, if you merely want a
point clarified, calling may work. Choose wisely. :-}
Peace,
david
