Trulia is looking for brilliant system engineers and architects who have experience working with large scale systems but can also thrive in a dynamic start up environment where the best idea wins.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the architecture team you will be responsible for tuning and troubleshooting the integration between back-end and front-end applications. You will lead the effort in identifying system bottlenecks. In addition, you will evaluate new technologies and methodologies for solving complex scaling problems and improving website architecture.

<ul>
<li>Linux expert.</li>
<li>Experience tunning apache and file systems.</li>
<li>Experience troubleshooting network performance, application performance and system performance.</li>
<li>Experience setting up and configuring monitoring such as cacti, nagios, rrdtool, sar.</li>
<li>Know how to systematically identify system bottlenecks.</li>
<li>Experience with configuration management framework such as cfengine.</li>
<li>Experience with a Storage Server such as 3Par or netapp.</li>
<li>Proficient in shell scripting.</li>
<li>Experience with caching technologies such memcached varnish or squid.</li>
<li>Ability to properly prioritize and manage projects and tasks.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills.</li>
<li>Willingness to take initiative and ownership.</li>
</ul>
<b>Strongly preferred</b>
<ul>
<li>Experience working with CDN such as AKAMAI and monitoring tools such as gomez</li>
<li>Mysql cluster and replication</li>
<li>sql programming</li>
</ul>
