Position Description: 
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Unix Internals, Socket
Programming, and Network Protocols.
- Knowledge of scripting language like Tcl/Perl/Python/Shell is
essential
- Basic working experience in Network Management, SNMP MIBs, Web UI, and
CLI
- Working experience with debugging tools like gdb, ddd, and similar
Unix development tools
- Familiarity with Open Sources software components like Apache, CGI
Interface, OpenSSH/OpenSSL, PAM, RADIUS, and NET-SNMP
- Familiarity with package management tools like RPM, and Pkgadd
- Beneficial to have knowledge of Java Script, XML Scheme, XSLT, and
AJAX technology.

Responsible for specifying, planning, reporting, designing and testing
in his/her project area. Has developed specialist knowledge in one area.
Works in a product creation project with responsibility of specifying a
component or multiple components of a product or several products.
Coaches other team members in solving engineering problems. Solves
complex engineering problems of own technology area. Typically
participates in reviews of own or neighboring projects. May undertake
technical training responsibilities.

Requirements: 
1-5 years relevant experience.

Performs day-to-day activities to meet departmental/project objectives.
Requires moderate supervision. Applies commonly recognized concepts
within their field of expertise. Raises innovative ideas.

Variety of complex tasks within areas of responsibility. Demonstrates
initiative & contributes to problem solving. Acts with independence &
discretion in routine matters.
