Systems Administration Responsibilities:
Installing, configuring, maintaining, and administering MS-Windows and
Linux servers/workstations; Resolving server/workstation hardware and
software issues; Administering Redhat, SuSE and Windows 2000 Server
systems; Keeping accurate logs of system builds and hardware
availability; Ensuring the network security of the lab network;
Installing and configuring Windows and Linux software developer tools;
Diagnosing and preventing system failure Maintaining and administering
the Developer Center internal network infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in administering Linux systems; Experience
with SuSE Linux and Redhat Linux is highly desired; At least 2 years in
Windows Server 2000/2003 administration.  Experience with topics such as:
DHCP, DNS, Storage Arrays, RAID, backup methods, serial console access.
Experience with setting up and configuring a disk drive imaging system
over a network.  Experience in writing server scripts to automate tasks
using in scripting language of choice.  Experience in installing and
configuring a beowulf compute cluster of Linux based systems.

Minimum Abilities:
Ability to learn quickly and operate a multitude of new OS
configurations, 32-bit & 64-bit versions of Linux, Unix, and Windows.
Work independently and as part of a team providing high quality,
customer- focused services.  Make effective use of other staff knowledge
and expertise as a member of a software engineering team.  Independently
anticipate and analyze situations, define problems and objectives,
recognize viable alternatives and formulate solutions.  Absorb new
information, both technical and procedural.  Learn new skills as needed
through personal learning or professional training

Required Education:
MCSE, MCSA, or other qualifications are a bonus.
