I just tried it in native Firefox. You can set *.jnlp association
just fine. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Applications, find JNLP, and
set it to open with /usr/local/linux-*/bin/javaws. FYI, it did not
affect browser plugin at all, i.e., I was able to use IcedTea-Web for
Java applets.
