Firefox 3.6.13 + openjdk6 + web plugin not working

I installed openjdk6, with the web plugin option, and linked 
/usr/local/openjdk6/jre/lib/IcedTeaPlugin.so into ~/.mozilla/plugins, 
and tried going to http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml, no 
joy. I got the following errors on the command line:

Any suggestions?

This is on amd64 -current r216383M with up to date ports.
