Last time i checked out, about Spring of 2005 IMMSMW,
there were the ports java-commapi-freebsd, and java-commapi (which i think is 
just the official jar)

Unfortunately, for linux, i remember there was nothing equivalent (!!!), 
letting the programmer the choice of using some OSS like JCL in combination 
with RXTX.

Java Comm API is one case where FreeBSD "has better official java support" 
than linux :)
