jdk 1.4.2 P5 & Yahoo chat - crashes

I've been able to get the jdk 1.4.2 p5 to compile fine on my FreeBSD
5.1-RELEASE system. However, I'm still having problems w/ Yahoo Chat.

As with 1.4.1, anything that opens up a new window (user properties, text
color change, private message, etc) causes Firebird (0.7) to crash within
moments. 

I would be happy to help diagnose the problem, but any person working on
the jdk should be able to reproduce it themselves without any trouble at
all. Let me know if I can help though.
