JDK1.4 on FreeBSD 5.1: build problems

Hi,
I'm trying to compile the jdk14 port,
but the build process dies:

Making adlc
../generated/adfiles/filebuff.o: In function 
`FileBuffRegion::print(ostream&)':
/usr/ports/java/jdk14/work/hotspot/src/share/vm/adlc/filebuff.cpp:255: 
undefined reference to `ostream::opera
