FULL OS VERSION :
FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE, i386

EXTRA RELEVANT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION :
java built from current ports (under linux compatibility)

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
When java, javac is run as root, it works, but if run as non-root user, error is printed and core is dumped.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
- install FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE
- install linux-sun-jdk14 from ports
- run java as non-root


REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
