pptp server and "how many clients"

On freebsd I use MPD + netgraph and have random drop or rejecting of
connection when system is heavy loaded,  can't reach more than 500
connections.

On debian I use standard pptpd that come with distro.

So, if someone  have freebsd system with lots of pptp/pppoe users will
be very usefull to share system settings or hardware information.
