Thanks for your help. I had a dl140 g2 here some days ago. I booted from a 5.4-release cd and got no support for this controller. May you send me some kernel output? Dmesg?

It is a normal SATA non-raid kontroller, I am running a dl140 g2 with a 
genom mirror. working great with 5.4 and 6.0 and 6.0/amd64
