Allow all traffic for a specific process

Thanks, that would be a good idea, but the process needs to access files in my 
home directory.
I don't want my files to be writable by others.
How do I do that?
If there's no other way, I'll play around with the IPFW source to add an 
option. Or would that be too difficult for a newbie?
