Few seconds later, I tried to mount again and it DID worked.

Media is DVD+RW. Sometimes I can mount it and sometimes I can't. In which case:

In all other systems, no matter which OS is in question, media is perfectly readable.

More experienced user, indicated that it is an "ASRock K7 upgrade 880"'s chipset problem
