>Description:
Monitoring tools like vmbsdbatt or xfce4-battery-plugin that query the status of the battery make FreeBSD to hang. This problem appeared on my laptop (Dell Precision M70 with Pentium M) after updating from 6.0-RELEASE to 6.0-STABLE on Nov 10th 2005. When a query is made by the monitoring tool, the system freezes for about 1 second and then goes back to normal. This problem has also been reported on -stable mailing list by another user running 6.0-stable on a Dell Inspiron 8600c
