kernel crash no output ! the kernel said something like error divide by zero

              i was trying to configure pppoe  (with the help of the hand book ), modified /etc/ppp/ppp.conf and modified the file /etc/rc.conf  to start pppoe at boot time .the result is a kernel crash  (divide by zero).

tested on 2 computers
cpu amd xp 2800 barton 
mother board asrok via kt400
ethernet card fastgear (linux driver natsemi , bsd driver sis)
video card nvidia 6600 gt 
memory samsung 512 MO ddr  pc 3200
tv card=guillemot pci-2 chip bt848a
sound card=sound blaster live pci
status:all ok on linux,windows ,kernel crash on bsd when setting pppoe

the second:
cpu amd duron 1200 mhz
mother board:matsonic via vt8233
ethernet:netgear fa311 rev-d2 (bsd driver sis)
video: ati radeon 7500 agp 4x
memory noname sd-ram first=256 second=128 total=384 mo
tv-card=none
sound-card=via sound card
status:all ok on linux,windows ,kernel crash on bsd when setting pppoe
